Find out how to read TLS articles for free with this tip that still works.

For the uninitiated, TLS or Times Literary Supplement is a weekly magazine for literature and ideas.

The first issue was published on Friday, 17 January 1902, as a supplement to The Times, British daily national newspaper.

In 1914, the Times Literary Supplement (TLS) became a separately paid-for weekly literature and society magazine.

TLS publishes book reviews, book extracts, insightful essays and poems from leading writers from around the world.

In addition, Times Literary Supplement also covers topics on anthropology, philosophy, politics, and psychology.

NOTE: If you are an art and culture enthusiast, I would strongly recommend you to subscribe its print or digital edition.

But if you want to just read its website articles occasionally for free, then read on to find out how to bypass TLS paywall.

Currently, I think there is no complimentary article to read for non-subscribers.

When you click on any of its articles, you can read only a few paragraphs, then the text starts fading off.

How to read TLS articles for free

Right now you can still continue reading unlimited TLS articles for free with a browser extension and solely for the Firefox browser only.

Access Times Literature Supplement Archive Free

With this method, you can still enjoy unlimited access to all the articles in the Times Literature Supplement Archive for free.

My earlier methods by using the Google cached pages, and blocking the cookies cannot get around the Times Literary Supplement paywall anymore.

At the time of publishing this post, there is still one workable method which you can use to read TLS articles for free.

Bypass paywalls Clean Extension with Firefox browser

You use the Bypass Paywalls Clean extension with Mozilla Firefox browser only.

NOTE: This Bypass Paywalls extension and Google Chrome browser do not work.

This is what you do:

1. To install the Bypass Paywalls Extension for Firefox, click here.

2. After you have installed and pinned it to your Firefox toolbar, you can see this extension icon.

3. Now go to the Times Literature Supplement (TLS) homepage.

4. You would see on top of the Bypass Paywalls Clean icon is a blue box with the word "OFF".

5. Click on the extension with the "OFF" word, a menu box drops down.

6. Click on the blue color toggle button.

7. It changes to orange color, simultaneously, the blue box also changes to orange color with the word "ON".

8. Automatically the Times Literature Supplement website will reload itself

9. You have unlocked its paywall.

10. Now you can read all the articles free from the year 2016 to the latest copy in the Times Literature Supplement Archive.

Well, presently this is the only way which I know how to read TLS articles free, without having to be a subscriber.
