Here are workable tips on how to overcome Bloomberg free articles limit.

Bloomberg.com limits two free articles for you to read.

If you want to read more, you have to sign up as a paid subscriber.

After you have read the first free article, you will see a banner at the bottom of your computer screen that says:

"You have 1 free article remaining. Try 3 months for $105 $6. Cancel anytime."

Together with the "Claim This Offer" button and "Sign in" button.

Then if you read the next free news article, you will see this remarks:

"This is your last free article. Try 3 months for $105 $6. Cancel anytime."

Again together with the "Claim This Offer" and "Sign in" buttons.

Now if you click the next article, it appears for a second or two, then a big black box appears before the page, that says:

"You've reached your free article limit. Subscribe for unlimited access to Bloomberg.com."

Together with the subscription fee details.

Not really.

How To Overcome Bloomberg Free Article Limit


Here are five (5) easy and workable ways which you can still continue to read Bloomberg.com articles, without being a subscriber.

METHOD ONE: View Via Toggle Reader View

For those Firefox users, when you are confronted with this big black box telling you that you've reached your article limit, this is what you do:

1. Move your mouse cursor up to the extension called "Toggle Reader View" and click on it.

2. It is a small icon situated at the top of the page. To be exact, it is in the address bar.

3. When you click on the icon, it changes to blue color.

4. Now you see the full article with a cleaner layout in an uncluttered page.

5. The drawback is the images would be smaller, and if originally there is a video clip, it will not appear here.

6. But you can still read the complete article as it is.

7. If you want to read the next news story, you just go back to Bloomberg home page, click on it.

8. Wait for it be blocked by the black color subscription box, then only you click on the "Toggle Reader View" extension; just like what I have mentioned in #1

9. To continue reading Bloomberg.com, you just view the blocked articles via "Toggle Reader View".

Note: For Google Chrome users, you can use Reader View extension to bypass Bloomberg.com paywall.

I have tried it and it works perfectly.

METHOD TWO: Press On Esc Button

This method of reading Bloomberg articles is easy too.

Once you know you have reached the last free article limit, you know the following article will be blocked by the subscription box.

This is what you do:

1. After you click on the soon-to-be-blocked article, just as the article starts to appear, you quickly press down on the "Esc" button of your keyboard.

2. Hold down the button for a while.  

3. Then let go of your finger.

4. Now you should be able to view the full article as it is.

5. To read the next story or article, just repeat as you have done; quickly press on the "Esc" button before the article is fully loaded.

Note: This method also WORKS for Google Chrome.


METHOD THREE: Bypass Paywalls Firefox Extension

For this method, you just install this free Bypass Paywalls Firefox extension onto your Firefox browser.

With this Firefox extension, you not only get to read tons of free articles from Bloomberg.com, but you can also access many more popular sites, including The New York Times, The Age, Harvard Business Review, etc.)

This is what you do:

1. Get this free Bypass Paywalls Firefox extension.

2. When you are at the site, scroll down a little, and click on "Download and install the latest version".

3. When you click on it, a menu will pop up.

4. Click "Continue to Installation".

5. The bypass paywall extension will be installed onto your Firefox browser right away.

6. You will see this small Bypass Paywalls extension icon on the Firefox address bar. (as shown below)

After you have properly installed this extension, you can now read unlimited Bloomberg website articles for free, without interruption by the subscription box anymore.

METHOD FOUR:  Clear Browser Cookies

Another super easy way to read all the content in Bloomberg.com right away.

This is what you do:

1. After you have just read the last free article, DO NOT click to the next article.

2. You need to to clear the browser cookies first.

3. Click on "History" at the menu bar which is at the top of your computer screen.

4. Then click on "Clear Recent History..."

Note: Make sure the "Cookies" under "History" is checked (with a tick in the box).

5. Click on "Clear Now" button.

6. Then click on the next article which you want to read.

7. It will appear as it is, without being blocked by the black subscription box.

8. From here onward, you just have to clear the browser cookies, before you click the following article to read.

9. At the bottom of the page, the banner will continue saying:

"You have 1 free article remaining. Try 3 months for $105 $6. Cancel anytime".

10. Ignore it, you just clear your browser cookies and then reload the page which you want to read.

That's all you need to do.

 METHOD FIVE: Firefox Temporary Containers Extension

1. Installed this Firefox Temporary Containers extension.

2. After you have installed it, you can begin to read your unlimited free articles right away.

3. Go to Bloomberg home page.

4. Select the article you want to read, and RIGHT CLICK on the title.

5. A menu pops up next to the article title.

6. Move your mouse cursor to the "Open link in new Temporary Container tab".

8. The article will be opened in a new tab without any obstruction.

9. At the bottom of the page, it says:

"This is your last free article. Try 3 months for $105 $6. Cancel anytime."

10. Ignore the reminder.

11. To read the next article, again you RIGHT CLICK on the new article title.

12. The menu pops up next to the article title.

13. Click on the "Open link in new Temporary Container tab".

14. Once again, this new article will appear in a new tab.

15. Now at the bottom of the page, it says:

"You have 1 free article remaining. Try 3 months for $105 $6. Cancel anytime."

16. In fact, now as you keep opening a new article in a new tab, it will show the same 1-free-article remark at the bottom of the page.

17. Just ignore it, enjoy reading your unlimited Bloomberg articles.

Note: This Temporary Containers Extension CANNOT be installed to Chrome.

Note: Since the year 2019, you CANNOT use Chrome Incognito Mode to bypass paywalls of both Bloomberg and The New York Times anymore.
