Wrongly Spelt Post Title URLs Redirected With WP 404 Auto Redirect to Similar Post Plugin

|
Yes, there is a way to redirect to all those invalid or wrong post titles, but with correct domain.

For example: http://inforuckus.com/watch-ironweed-full-movie-online-free-online

And you type in:http://inforuckus.com/steelweed-full-movie-online-free-offline in the address bar of your browser. (wrong URL)

When you press the "Enter" key, the wrong URL will automatically change to its original URL right away.

I know many of you have been using the Permalink Finder plugin in their WordPress sites to do the job.

This amazing free plugin can detect when WordPress cannot find a permalink.

Before it leads to the 404 error, this plugin tries to locate any posts with similar words.

Note: To be specific, what I mean is only for those wrongly worded or spelled blog posts title URLs.

But the DOMAIN has to be right.

Or it will show you a blank page with the remark: Server not found.

This plugin does this by searching through the database trying to find any of the word values from the bad link.

So instead of sending you to 404 Not Found page, it redirects to the correct page.

But Permalink Finder Plugin has not been been updated in over 2 years now.

WP 404 Auto Redirect to Similar Post Plugin

The good news is you can replace this abandoned plugin with another equally fantastic plugin called WP 404 Auto Redirect to Similar Post.

This new plugin will automatically redirect all your 404 to a similar post, based on the Title, Post Type, Category & Taxonomy.

If nothing similar is found, the plugin will redirect to your homepage.

All redirects are done via 301 HTTP Status Code.

Personally I have just installed it to one of my WordPress sites.

It works wonderfully well.
