Easy Way To Back Up Customized Blogger Theme Code In New Blogger Interface 2020

Here is an easier way to back up and save your customized Blogger theme code in the new Blogger interface 2020.
 
Some of you might ask why should I keep a back up copy o my blog HTML code?
 
As many of you will be tinkering or customizing your Blogger template editor, to add or improve the function and the design of your Blogspot blog

It is only wise to back up your Blogger theme before you make any changes to the HTML code in your already customized template or theme. 

So that you can restore the screwed up template back to your latest original customized version with this saved back up HTML code.
 
Sometimes when after making changes to the HTML code and saved it, then to your horror, you realize there is something wrong with the blog design.
 
As a non-techie, you might know which part of the HTML code is fouled up.
 
So, if you have the latest back up HTML code of your blog, you can use it to restore your blog back to how it was before the messed-up.

Now let me show you an easy way to back up and save your latest customized Blogger theme. But once you re-customized the template again, then you you need to delete the previous safe copy and re-save again. 
 
1. Log in to your Blogger dashboard.
 
2. Click on "Theme".

3. Then click on the small reverse triangle symbol next to "CUSTOMIZE" in the middle of the page.

4. A box pops up.

5. Click on "Edit HTML".

6. Then it open up page with all the HTML code.    
   
7. Right click on it. A small menu box pops up

8. Then click on "Select all". All the page of code will be highlighted in light blue color.    

9.  Again right click on the highlighted code.

10. A small menu box pops up. Click on "Copy".
 
11. Open the Notepad. Right click on the empty page.

12. A small menu box pops up. Click on "Paste".

13. Click on "File" and then "Save As...".

14. A box pops up. For "File name:", type the name of your blog.

15. Select where you want to save your latest Blogger template HTML code.
 
Note: For safety reason, besides saving it directly into your PC, you should save another one in a thumb drive.

16. Finally click the "Save" button.
