How To Find Hidden Encrypted Malicious Links

Here is one quick way of detecting hidden malicious links. You use Theme Authenticity Checker.  You can download this free plugin from WordPress.org.

How To Install The Plugin Theme Authenticity Checker

1. Go to WordPress Dashboard.

2. Then scroll down to "Plugins". Click "Add New".

3. Type in "Theme Authenticity Checker" (without quotes) in the empty Search box. Click  "Search Plugins".

3. Now click "Install Now".

4. Next click "Activate Plugin".

You don't need to do any setting or configuration. After you have installed and activated, the Theme Authenticity Checker plugin has started checking and scanning all the themes you got in your Themes page.

How To Know Which Theme has Malicious Hidden Code Links

Under the "Appearance" you can see "TAC" link. You click on it and you should see the results from the scanning done by the plugin.

It is either "Theme OK!" in a green box or "Encrypted Code Found!" in a pink box.

If you find any of the theme with encrypted code found, delete it away. Do not use it anymore.

If you really want to use Chris Pearson's premier Thesis Theme, then get the original proper theme from DIY-Themes.
