1. Save to Pocket
For those who do not know, the Pocket is Firefox browser built-in tool, which allows you to save content (blogs, news sources, web pages and videos) in one place, and you access it later from any device.
You save the blocked NZ Herald premium articles to the Pocket.

From there you can read the full unblocked article.
This Pocket tool works with both Firefox and Chrome browsers.
First you need to sign up for a free account with the Pocket.
MOZILLA FIREFOX BROWSER:
For Firefox browser, the Pocket tool is already included into the browser.
You can see the Pocket gray color icon (pocket with the letter V) on the toolbar, which is at the top right hand corner of your laptop screen.
There are three ways to save the New Zealand Premium articles in your Pocket account.
Click on Pocket icon
Firstly sign into your Pocket account.
It just shows two lines of text, as it gradually fades off...followed with the subscription proposal.
Click on the Premium article which you want to read.
Ignore it, instead click on the gray color Pocket icon at the toolbar.Click on "View My Saves" button.
It takes you to "Saves" of your Pocket account.
Here you can see the article title together with its accompanied image.
Similarly, you can go back to Saves, to click on the three dots below the saved article, then click "Delete".
Save article url to Pocket
The second way is go to the New Zealand Herald homepage, right click on the Premium article title.
A context menu box pops up, click on the "Save Link to Pocket"
Click on "View My Saves".
Here you can see the article title with its image .
To read the article, click on either the article title or the image.
Paste article url on Pocket site
Just like the above second way, right click on the article title.
A context menu box pops up, this time click on "Copy Link".
Go to your Pocket account, click on the + plus symbol(Save a URL)

GOOGLE CHROME BROWSER:
First you need to install the Pocket extension to your Chrome browser.
Click here to install the Pocket extension.
Next pin the Pocket extension onto the Chrome toolbar.
To do that, click on the Chrome extensions icon (gray color puzzle piece) at the toolbar, which is at the top right hand corner of the computer screen.
Click on the gray color thumb tack icon next to "Save to Pocket".

How to save and read NZ Herald Premium articles
There are two ways to save the New Zealand Premium content to your Pocket account.
Click on Pocket icon
Click on the Premium article which you want to read.

Ignore it, instead click on the red outline color Pocket icon at the toolbar.
The red outlined Pocket icon turns to full red color, except with the white V outline, and at the same time a box pops up below.
Inside the box you can see the article title together with its image.
Click on "Saves" at the bottom left hand corner.
It goes to your Pocket account, where you can see the article title together with its image.
To read the full Premium NZ Herald article, click on the title or the image.
Paste article url on Pocket site
Right click on the premium article URL which you want to read.
A context menu pops up, then click on "Copy link address".
Go to your Pocket account, click on the + plus symbol (Save a URL).
Paste the article URL in the space provided.
Then click on the "Add" button.
The article is now saved under "Saves".

2. Archive Today

Click on any of these two options.
When you click on the "Archive link", and if the article is already archived, you can read it right away.
If not, then automatically it will start loading to archive it for you.
When you click on the "Search link", and if the article is already archived, you can see it right there.
But if the article is still not archived, it says "No results".
You have to click on the hyperlink "archive this url", then click the "save" button.
Then wait for it to archive it.
Click on Archive.Today icon
Click on the Premium article which you want to read,
As it is, it is blocked by its paywall.
Ignore it, instead click on the Archive.Today icon at the toolbar.
It takes you to the Archive Today site.If the article has already archived, then you can see it right there.
If not, then you have to load and archive it.
Right click on article text
At the blocked article, right click anywhere on the text area, a context menu box pops up.
Then click on "Search archive.today for page".
Similarly it goes to the Archive Today site.
Again if the page have already been archived, you can see the full article right there.
If not, then you have to archive it, before you can read it.
