This is another post from the series, DiGiztal Bypass Paywalls Tips.
Besides using the Brave browser to remove paywalls, you can also use the web browser Tor to get past blocked articles for free.
In fact, you can also use Tor to access blocked websites, including the recently banned popular smut hub site.
I have tried it out myself and it can work as what I have read in forums.
If you like to use Tor browser to read without paywalls for free, follow this simple guide.
Anyway, for those who still do not have Tor, click here to download.
Get past paywalls with Tor browse
When you encounter a blocked article, copy its URL.
Click the broom icon (New Identity), a box pops up.
Click the red color "Restart Tor Browser" button.
It opens Tor homepage again.
Paste the copied URL in the address bar on top of the page.
Press "Enter" key or click on the arrow icon to load the page.
Here is an example of a New Yorker blocked article, "Yiyun Li on Writing from the Height or from the Depth of Experience".
After I reloaded the article, the page appeared in full, without the paywall reminder.
If you use Tor to read The Atlantic articles free, you would come across the bottom white banner that cannot be lowered.
To view the article properly, either click the Reader view icon at the toolbar, or just press F9 key.
In other words, read The Atlantic article in Reader View mode.
This is how I get around paywalls with Tor browser to read paywalled sites, that include: Wired, The New Yorker, The Atlantic, New York Magazine, L. A. Times, etc.
