This is the second way of creating a Blogger Sitemap indexing by Label or Category. Some of you may prefer this method.

By the way, here is the earlier post on how to setup a Blogger sitemap by label or category.

For this second version, it is without any boxed up border. Just simple and uncluttered as you can see the the image below:

The setup is similar to the first version of Blogger sitemap by category.

Here is how you do it:

1. Log into Blogger Dashboard.

2. Click "Pages".

3. Click on "New page".

4. Click HTML tab.

5. Type the word "Sitemap" in the Page Title box above.

6. Copy the code below and paste it onto your Page text editor.

Note: Before you paste it onto your text editor, paste it onto your Notepad. Put it aside, in case suddenly you find the sitemap disappeared!

Don't worry. Below this post, I'll explain how to fix this disappearance problem.

Note: Remember to change http://your-blog.blogspot.com (highlighted in white) to your own blog URL.

Now when you click at "Compose" tab, the text or post editor (the box where you type your content) should be blank.

In other words, there should be nothing inside the box.

7. Click on the orange color "Publish" button.

8. To get the link, click "View" below the word Sitemap.

9. Now you can paste the Sitemap link below your blog name or at the the footer of your blog.

10. That's all, folks.

Read This When Your Sitemap Suddenly Disappeared!

As I have reminded earlier, before you paste the code onto the Pages text editor, paste it on the Notepad first.

Keep this aside as you may need it, when you find the sitemap is NOT showing up anymore.

Make whatever changes to the code while it is on the Notepad.

Then only paste it over to your blog Pages and click "Publish".

If you do it this way, your sitemap will definitely work.

If you have already published it and then you decided to edit or make any modification to the code, and republished it by clicking on the "Update" button.

If you updated it ONE time, the sitemap will still work.

But if you re-edited and republished it the second time or more, then you would NOT see the sitemap anymore.

In other words, it would NOT work.

If this happens, here are two ways which you can do to fix it:

First Way:

1. Delete the whole pages away and redo it all over again, as explained at the beginning of the post.

2. Copy the code from your Notepad which I have mentioned above.

3. Click on the "New Page", and paste the code from the Notepad.

4. Click "Publish".

Second Way:

1. Just delete the whole code from the text editor.

2. Then click "Update".

3. Again get the code from the Notepad and paste it onto the text editor.

4. Click the "Update" button.

That's all.
