Google says Web History makes search better, But from what I read in the Internet, it is advisable to remove or disable Web History in your Google account.

Removing your Google Web History search
1. Sign into your Google account.
2. Go to http:// www.google.com/history
3. Click "Remove all Web History."
4. Click "OK" blue button.
When you have remove your Google Web History, it also pauses it. So now, your Web History will remain off until you enable it again
