In short, you lose your blog.

It is better to know the risk involved if you want to redirect or migrate your Blogger blog to self-hosted site.

If you do not mind getting your blog deleted by Google, then go ahead.

Recently I read from one of those Google-banned victims, warning others about the danger of using cloaking, while redirecting Blogger or Blogger blog to WordPress.

According to him, the key problem was he was trying to retain his Blogger traffic after redirecting his blog to WordPress, by using the popular Redirect Blogger To WordPress plugin.

That was the main culprit which got his site banned from Google search engine.

There's more.

There is this guy who followed the popular tutorial "How to Switch from Blogger to WordPress without Losing Google Rankings" from Syed Balkhi's site, WPBeginner.

He not only lost his Google rankings, but the whole blog as well!
