Derivative and Semantic Phrases In Keyword Research

|
Besides your primary key phrases, you also need to come up with secondary key phrases.

There are two types of secondary phrases.

1. Derivative Phrases
These are phrases which derided from your primary key phrases.

Example: Your primary key phrase is "growing own vegetables", then you can use derivative phrases like "how to grow own vegetables at home", " or "benefits of growing own vegetables".

2. Semantic Phrases
Examples of semantic phrases  as secondary phrases could be: "gardening guide basics", "Start an organic garden" or "grown your own food".

How To Find Derivative Phrases
You can use the free Google Adwords Keyword Tool. Just type in your key phrase and you can see a list from there.

How To Find Semantic Phrases
This is what I learned from Pat Flynn of Smart Passive Income site.

Go to Google. Type [~growing ~own ~vegetables] in the search box. Then either click on "Google Search" button or press "Enter" key.
