How To Uninstall And Reinstall Lexmark Printer

There is a proper way to uninstall and reinstall your Lexmark printer. If you do not do it correctly, chances you could encounter problems with your printer. 

How to uninstall the existing Lexmark program and then reinstall it

1. Note: Before you start to uninstall, you have to disconnect the printer USB cable from your PC USB cable port.

2. Now, go to "Start" and then "Control Panel".

3. Click on "Programs".Then select "Uninstall a program".

4. Locate your Lexmark printer and double click on it. It will start to uninstall.

Once everything is uninstalled, it is time to reinstall it back with your provided CD.

If you don't have a driver CD, you can get it from Lexmark site at: http://support.lexmark.com/index?page=productSelection&channel=supportAndDownloads&locale=FR&userlocale=FR

1. If you have a driver CD, insert it into your CD or DVD drive.

2. It will automatically show you a menu box. Click on "Run Setup.EXE".

3. Then it will download and install the program into your computer.

4. Connect the USB cable to your computer and switch on the printer when it tells you so.

5. That's all.
