How To Fix Firefox Unresponsive Script Warning

|
Are you one of those who seem to be getting the irritating unresponsive script warning popping up on your screen every now and then, causing your Firefox to hang? Well you are not alone.

Here is one way to fix this annoying Firefox unresponsive script problem:

1. This method you need to go to the hidden configuration page in Firefox. Type about:config in the address bar and you will get this warning:

2. Now click "I'll be careful, I promise". It will open a page full of configurations. Type dom.max_script_run_time in the Filter box above.

3. Immediately it will only show the line dom.max_script_run_time.

4. Right-click on the line dom.max script run time. And it will drop down a box with a list of words.

5. Click on the first bold word Modify. Immediately it will show you a box titled Enter Integer Value. You can see a number in the white box.

6. What you need to  do is change the number in the box to something like 20 or 35. This is to set  the maximum time a script can run before Firefox considers it 'unresponsive'.

That's how I fixed my unresponsive script which I learned from dans.blog.
